Working closely with clients, helping them to find a personal expression through their garden is a very rewarding experience. Appreciating all landscape design styles, my current fascination is with minimalist, modern landscapes.

Growing up in the San Juan Islands, I understand the role that outdoor spaces can play in our lives. I greatly enjoy working with our clients to create outstanding landscapes that are beautiful, functional, and enhance the quality of their lives.

Whether a water fountain, gas fire pit or overhead shade screen, Ben wants all landscape features to operate easily, smoothly and be entirely reliable. “It’s a joy to work with our clients, designers and crews to create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.”

As our senior project manager, Bob’s first concern is always the client’s complete satisfaction. His second concern is what microbrew he’ll try at the end of the day.

“For over ten years, I have loved managing the Cambium office, doing the books, and interacting with all the Cambium folks. The office has large storefront windows and lots of light too!”

Han recently graduated from the University of Washington. He’s just getting his feet wet in the real word, doing all sorts of work for Cambium. We appreciate his enthusiasm!

Jonathan’s carpentry skills come in handy while crafting his own fiberglass surfboards. His young children want to ride the waves too—but for now they paddle hard to be the great surfers they are destined to be.

When Kasia’s not thinking about planting design she’s hanging out with her little dog, Rocco Timothy, biking, foraging, goofing-around and thinking about the ultimate food bite.

Leading our maintenance crews, Mitch is all about attention to detail. He’s also the ‘Orange Cone Guy’, insisting our crews always put safety first.

From Ohio to the Great Pacific Northwest, Ross brings his love of gardening to Cambium, delighting in nurturing our client’s beautiful landscapes. A “compassionate Swiftie” and sunshine enthusiast, Ross prioritizes peaceful and enriching experiences in his daily life.

Ruben joined Cambium at the urging of his brother Rufino. After a few years he too became a foreman. See the family resemblance?

A proud Oaxacan, Rufino has been at Cambium over ten years and is one of our best masons. He always starts the workday with a big smile.

Shea is our senior carpenter, at work the Chevy pick-up is #1, but at the end of the day he leaves work in the dust—a sporty royal blue Subaru WRX is his ride of choice.

“I love listening to clients’ wishes and bringing them to life through design. Garden landscapes are living stories, shaped by nature, time, and movement. With care and curiosity, I work collaboratively to uncover what makes a place truly special. Outside of work, making pottery and exploring nature inspires my design.”

Valentin rose through the ranks at Cambium from inexperienced crew to full foreman. He’s also a welder and fabricates Cambium’s custom steel planters.
